I moved to the Manning Valley in 2009 bringing with me my wife Donna and sons Oliver and Henry, and purchased long established Taree icon Emertons Home Appliances (Retravision).
Moving to the coast and especially the mid north coast had always been the "seachange" dream for myself and Donna, both having been born and raised in country NSW, home for me is Cowra and Donna was raised on a farm near Manildra in between Orange and Parkes.
Owning an electrical appliance business had been a long held goal, and in partnership with Donna we navigated 10 years of succesful business in a highly competitive and and over supplied market by adhereing to some simple principles....... provide unrivalled customer service, knowledgable help, practical guidance and above all else be fair and honest in business dealings.
With traditional retail becoming an ever oncreasingly difficult place for an independant business to operate, we made the decision to "leave at the top of our game" and wound up our business in March 2020. I was encouraged to move into real estate by good friend and mentor Rob Chapman the principal of Ray White Manning Valley.
At the core of every real estate transaction there are 2 people, a buyer and seller both of who have their own hopes, dreams and expectations, the role of a great real estate agent is to help and make sure all parties achieve these goals in a fair, friendly and professional manner.
Although it is still relatively early in my real estate career, as a sales professional the key ideals of service, knowledge and help seem to fit this role to a greater depth than in my previous life which is a fantastic challenge, but the emotional reward of being crucial to the realisation of someone elses dream is for me the greatest reward and most soul satisfying.
